ロイが奥様に触発されて作曲家ビル・ディーズと共に作ったというこの愛の歌は、世界中で大ヒットしアメリカとイギリスで1位を獲得しました。
国内外の歌手からカバーされていますが、1990年のアメリカ映画「Pretty Woman」の主題歌に起用されたことでも有名です。
