1980年にアメリカのサックス奏者グローヴァー・ワシントン・ジュニアが、アメリカの歌手ビル・ウィザースをボーカルに迎えて発表した曲です。
グラミー賞を受賞するほど大ヒットし、1980年代に「スムース・ジャズ」が流行するきっかけとなった曲として知られています。
邦題は「クリスタルの恋人たち」。現代でも各国でカバーされ愛されている一曲です。
