アメリカのヒップホップ・グループ、ブラック・アイド・ピーズが2003年に発売したアルバム「Elephunk」に収録されている曲です。
このアルバムから女性ボーカルとしてファーギーが加入しましたが、今曲では主にwill.i.am（ウィル・アイ・アム）とapl.de.ap（アップル・デ・アップ）、そしてコラボしたアメリカのバンド「パパ・ローチ」のボーカル、ジェイコビー・シャディックスが歌っています。
プロデューサーのウィルは当時、2001年に起こった同時多発テロの恐怖を感じながら作業をしたと語ったそうです。歌詞にもその影響が見られます。
