商業的な不振が続いていたマライアでしたが、ビルボードHOT100で14週連続1位に輝き、2005年の年間チャートでも1位を獲得するなど、周囲の予想を見事に覆しました。
世界中で大ヒットしましたが、中でもアメリカでの評価は高く、2006年にはビルボードが発表した「過去13年間で最も素晴らしい歌詞の曲」で１位に選ばれ、グラミー賞を始めとする様々な音楽賞を獲得しました。
