1996年にオーストラリアのバンド、サヴェージ・ガーデンが発表したデビュー曲です。
アメリカの大物辛口コメディアン、ロージー・オドネルが自身の番組で度々使用したことから、アメリカを中心に世界中でヒットしました。
初めて聴いた時から夢の中のような楽しさがあるな、と感じていましたが、それもそのはず。歌詞を担当したボーカルのダレン・ヘイズいわく「僕が恋をした夢の中の少年」を基に書いたそうです。とても芸術的な発想です。
