2003年にアメリカの歌手ブリトニー・スピアーズが、アルバム「In The Zone」の収録曲として発表した曲です。
それまでのダンスポップス中心のサウンドから、多種多様なジャンルを取り入れたアルバムは商業的に成功を収めました。
ブリトニーの代表曲の1つでもある「Toxic」や、マドンナとコラボした「Me Against the Music」も収録されており、この曲はアルバムの中でも正直地味な部類の曲だと言えます。
ただ、曲作りにはアヴリル・ラヴィーンの「Anything but Ordinary」を手掛けたチーム「The Matrix」や、ヒラリー・ダフの「Why not」を手掛けたチャーリー・ミッドナイトが参加していることもあってか、どちらも大好きな私にはもの凄く刺さりました。

「Could only be ～」は「ただの～かもしれない」の意味。）

（「almost gone」は「ほとんどない」や「ほぼ使い切った」
などの意味ですが自然な歌詞になるよう
「もうほぼ居ない」と訳しました。）

（「glimpse」は「垣間見る」や「チラッと見る」の意味。
「I’ve had just a glimpse」は

アルバム「In The Zone」はこれまでのブリちゃんの作品の中でも一番好きでした。誰とも違う歌声の持ち主なので、これからも歌手として活動して欲しいです。
