アメリカのロックバンド、パドル・オブ・マッドが2001年に発売した曲です。世界的にヒットし、バンド史上最大の売り上げを記録しました。
ボーカルで作詞を務めたウェス・スキャントリンは、「ロサンゼルスでホームシックにかかり、友達や家族を想い作った」と述べたそうです。元々スキャットリンは他のメンバーと組んでいましたが、契約の際に会社側からボーカル以外のメンバーを入れ替えられてしまいました。そして新生「パドル・オブ・マッド」としてのレコーディングの為に、単身ロサンゼルスへ飛ばされたそうです。
