2013年にディズニーのアニメ映画「Frozen」の挿入歌として発表された曲です。アメリカではイディナ・メンゼルが歌唱しました。
ビルボードHOT100では最高4位を記録し、イディナ・メンゼルにとってもディズニーのミュージカル曲にとっても、初めてトップ10入りした曲となりました。
評論家からは絶賛され、日本でも松たか子さんが歌唱した日本語曲が大ヒットしました。映像の作り込みも素晴らしく、この曲を歌うシーンで最高潮の盛り上がりを見せると言っても過言ではありません。

「keep it in」は「行動を抑える」や「秘密を守る」などの意味。
「Be the good girl」は「良い子でいなさい」の意味の命令文。
続く「you always have to be／あなたはいつもそうでなければいけない」
は自分に言い聞かせている、言い聞かせてきたと解釈しています。
「Conceal」は「隠す」や「秘密にする」などの意味。
「Hide」は物理的に人や物を「隠す」の意味で

「fractals／フラクタル」は分からなくて調べました。
簡単に言うと幾何学的構造のことだそうです。
この歌詞の場合、「雪の結晶」を指していると解釈しています。）
